A coach helps every team from the Chats page; the jury reads the Teams page and scores the pitches on paper. Both sign in with their Antasphere account, on the email the organizers put on the roster.

Coaches

The platform calls a coach an advisor. A coach has no team, no submission and no ballot, and reads what every team reads and more:
  • Every team’s chat, on the Chats page, beside the general channel. Post in a team’s chat like any member of it; the team, the other coaches and the organizers read it, no other team does.
  • Every team’s help requests. A participant opens a request for their team, a one-line title and what they need. Claim it, so the other coaches know it is taken, and answer in its thread. Let it go with an unclaim when someone else should take it. A member of the team resolves it when it is sorted; the thread then reads only, until someone reopens the request.
  • Every team’s repository, read-only. When the organizers put your GitHub username on the roster, GitHub invites you to read each team’s repository. Accept the invitations (by email, or on github.com/notifications), then clone or pull any team’s code to help them. You cannot push to it.
  • The Home page, with the clock and the notices every participant sees, and the Teams page with each team’s demo deck and presentation once they are handed in.
From the command line, after npm i -g @antasphere/hackathon, hackathon login and hackathon connect:

The jury

The jury watches each team present live and scores on paper: the application holds no jury score and no jury ranking. On the platform a jury member reads:
  • the Teams page: every team, with its Demo deck and its Presentation, the two Slideless links the team handed in. The demo deck is written to be played alone, step by step, before or after the pitch;
  • the Vote page’s leaderboard, once the organizers have released the community result. The jury never casts a ballot: the community vote is the participants’, and nothing combines it with the jury’s scoring.
The Chats and the submissions are not open to the jury.
